New Hottie in Town...

"Not damaged. Beautifully damaged"
- Beautifully Damaged by L.A. Fiore

Well, well, well, what can I possibly say about Trace Montgomery and Ember Walsh? Let's face it, the first reason for me to buy it was the cover... And who wouldn't want that cover?? Then it was free for me and came up in my book roulette. Boy, am I ever glad I read this books.

As it is, Ember is a not-quite-wallflower, aspiring writer and sweetest soul on earth, being all but attacked in a club and to her rescue comes "an inked angel". That already got me weak on my knees.
Trace has huge anger-management-problems, huge ghosts from the past and a huge list of women he had left heartbroken. His interest in Ember though grows just as much as her interest in him and i have to say that by about forty percent I thought we were through with the story.

I mean, don't we all know it? They find each other, they hesitate, they love and then they split only so that one can win the other back. With this book though that WASN'T the case, and i loved it. There was so much more to that book and no matter what came up, just as Trace grew in Embers eyes, he grew in mine, too.

"Life works in mysterious ways, Ember, and the secret is to not think too hard on the why of it or the how, and not mourn what is no longer, but to appreciate what is and to live: live hard and love hard."

I loved the people in it, the turns, the sweetness and everything all around that books. Seriously, what a great book to read! I want myself a Trace Montgomery, even though I know that not all is safe and easy with that guy... But who could ever possibly resist him?

"Being Deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while deeply loving someone gives you courage."
- Lao Tzu

Between being immensely in love and still wanting to help Trace deal with his horrible and haunting past, Ember has a lot of fights. Some she wins, some she loses, but mostly she proves that sometimes you might just get exactly what you want... Or dream of.

This books gets all the stars or rating or whatever it can get. Read it, devour it, love it, read it again!

Yours truly, Julie

  1. ok so i changed my name but its still me! so anyway, i have this book too and i'm def looking forward to it now. i have to say, i'm a bit of a sucker for the ones who swoop in to save the girl! lol. i guess we all like that, but sometimes there are people who hate that because they don't want the girl to ever need saving.. but cmon, those are all well and good but every now and again we need a hunky hero!

    1. To be honest, it was not really that much saving she needed, but even those people would be happy since truly she saves him right back... But we all know, we are a sucker for the disturbed, broken guys! ;-) (Remember Jace, Travis...)
