Forever My Girl at The Edge of Never

I finished two books in the last two days and even though I kinda wanted to start reviewing the other one, I will follow the way I read them.

And that means Forever my girl gets reviewed first.

What is the book about: I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

Boy... I loved that book. Like seriously. From beginning to end... Well, except for the end because then the book was over and there was NOTHING more! Devastating, really...

“I promise you, I’m done running. I’m still selfish, but only where you and Noah are concerned. I have years of spoiling to make up for and I plan to spend every day of my life making sure you both know how much I love you.”
Forever my Girl by Heidi McLaughlin

You are into Rockers? Bad guys that are truly good? Read this book. Liam went away, thinking that nothing could make him feel better except leaving. And leaving meant leaving everything that he once considered his life. So, what do you do if the best decision in your life at the same time is the worst decision ever? I wouldn't know. I couldn't do it. But Liam did and he grew. A lot. In that book, in the time that we, the readers, didn't see and yet, this book is believable and sweet. It's easy and quick reading, but mainly because you just need to know. Need to know what happens next, need to see how that situation is solved, need to know if she can make you fall more in love with the characters by each turning page. And she can.

“I've missed so much. Like the day you opened your flower shop or how you came up with the name Whimsicality. I missed the day you brought Noah into this world and saw him for the first time. I missed your late-night cravings and his midnight feedings. I'll never forgive myself for not being there, Josie.”

Heart wrenching is something that you can say about a lot of books, but the pain in this book is real and I have to tell you, peeps, I wish, with all my heart and soul, that the second book, My Unexpected forever, will soon be in my hands because... This is just one of those series that makes me preorder a book so i can have it the second it's available.

I waited months for this book since I ordered it in a time where they kinda didn't have it anywhere... So I have to say... It was totally worth it.

What's the book about:
Sometimes life takes you off course . . .

THE EDGE OF NEVER

Twenty-year-old Camryn Bennett thought she knew exactly where her life was going. But after a wild night at the hottest club in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, she shocks everyone-including herself-when she decides to leave the only life she's ever known and set out on her own. Grabbing her purse and her cell phone, Camryn boards a Greyhound bus ready to find herself. Instead, she finds Andrew Parrish.

Sexy and exciting, Andrew lives life like there is no tomorrow. He persuades Camryn to do things she never thought she would and shows her how to give in to her deepest, most forbidden desires. Soon he becomes the center of her daring new life, pulling love and lust and emotion out of her in ways she never imagined possible. But there is more to Andrew than Camryn realizes. Will his secret push them inseparably together-or destroy them forever?

So, what can I say about Andrew and Cam? Or better, where to start? This book got all the stars I was able to give because it's just made me feel as if this could be me. I can relate with Cam in a way that is almost scary, and having an author write that out makes me actually think that a lot of others feel that way, too. Cam is brave enough to take a leap of faith and it lands her right where she belongs: with something that gives her the feeling of finally living.

“Heart always wins out over the mind. The heart, although reckless and suicidal and a masochist all on its own, always gets its way.”
- The Edge Of Never by J.A. Redmerski

I loved the way Cam and Andrew joke around and have fun. I loved the way Cam was taken in by his family. And I most loved the way Andrew made Cam say what she wants. In everything. This book is, even though fictional, is definitely inspiring. It makes me want to be brave and just do something for me for once. I'm hoping that after having gotten some insight into the family of Andrew, we get some more into Cam's family because sometimes families, even though they just have the best intentions, are crowding us the worst and I am hoping that Cam somehow can make it work out with her mom and make her understand why she did what she did.
If you haven't picked it up, you might want to try.

“I don’t think you ever really fall out of love with someone. I think when you fall in love, like true love, it’s love for life. All the rest is just experience and delusions.”
- The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

The end of the book definitely makes you wishing for more: More pages of Andrew and Cam, more insight in there life, more hope. The release of The Edge of Always can't come soon enough.

Always and forever. Isn't that what we all want?

Yours truly, Julie
