When You Dare (Men who walk the Edge of Honor #1)

Okay, so I got that book a while ago just because I lvoed the cover and i wanted to try new series. Along with three other books it came and stood on my shel since I first had to finish whatever else I was reading. I will admit that at this time I had about six currently reading books (yeah, I know, how in the world did she do that? Easy, I couldn't decide what I want.) and through pure accident a friend picked up the book, too. I swear, I had planned on getting down from my million currently's before starting any other book, but then my friend (let's call her Jane here) told me that I'd be in love with that book. OKay, I still could resist the firt time she said that, but after the sixth time I almost ran down the stairs to grab my book from the shelf and start with "When You Dare" by Lori Foster.

Boy, Jane had been so right!

Synopsis:

The tougher they are, the harder they fall…

Professional mercenary Dare Macintosh lives by one hard and fast rule: business should never be personal. If a cause appeals to him and the price is right, he'll take the mission he's offered. But then the lovely Molly Alexander asks him to help her track down the men who'd had her kidnapped—and for the first time, Dare's tempted to combine work with pleasure.

Fiercely independent, Molly vows to trust no one until she's uncovered the truth. Could the enemy be her powerful, estranged father? The ex-fiancé who still holds a grudge? Or the not-so-shy fan of her bestselling novels? As the danger heats up around them, the only anchor Molly has is Dare himself. But what she feels for him just might be the most frightening thing of all…

I'm pretty sure that first line means us, the readers, because I think I was in love with Dare from the first page on. His sleeping habits (boxers only... *ehem*) might have a little to do with it, but what I liked even more about him was his whole ice-cold/silk-soft demeanor. I mean, he's fierce and he's brutal and he's the toughest piece out there, and yet they can get so terribly gentle and caring and sweet, it makes me weak.

Okay, but first things first. I have to say that the whole story with Molly was terrible... Alani and her had been through the worst and I totally loved that Dare actually kept Molly close because where esle should she have gone? I loved her, too... The way she tried to stay strong, the way she didn't show fear... How can a man not fall for that? The whoe set up of the story was gripping right from the beginning. I devoured the book and couldn't stop reading. It was bad... I seldom keep books close just so I know they are with me, but with Dare that's what happened. Hell, I couldn't stop thinking about him. And then Lori Foster put in that gym-scene... Maaaaaaan...

Not that I want to be in any dangerous situations or so, but if that's what it takes for me to meet an alpha male like him? I'd be game.
The hunting of the guys responsible for Molly's abduction, the way Dare is with his dogs (yeah, another reason to fall in love with him) and the development between Molly and Dare leave nothing to wish for. That book was fast paced, sweet and hot as sin. You all should go and read it asap. I gave it to my best friend and she already is head over heels for the book as well.

Seriously, I dare you.

Yours truly, Julie
