Hector & Abel (5th Street #3 & #4) by Elizabeth Reyes

Hector - Synopsis:

Womanizer—check.
Cocky—check.
Dangerous—checkmate.

Staying away from him was indisputably the sensible thing to do. The problem? She wasn’t just drawn to him; she was utterly mesmerized...

Charlotte Brennan is no stranger to heartache and mortification. Her past is full of both. So when amazing and incredibly intense Hector Ayala, literally jumps into Charlee’s life, her walls are immediately up. Letting her guard down and sharing her past and deepest secret is not happening. Charlee is not looking to get her heart crushed once again. However, her willpower proves to be no match for Hector’s mesmerizing pull.

Guilt is a profound emotion to deal with and no one knows this better than Hector. So when he gets the chance to make up for a past indiscretion that’s been gnawing away at him for months, he takes it. Doing so means he’ll also have to pass up pursuing Charlee, the only girl he’s ever been so fascinated by. But his inability to explain why they could never be has him dealing with a new kind of
guilt—the guilt of knowing he is unwillingly breaking her heart.

Abel - Synopsis:

Coming off the worst divorce in the history of marriages, Nellie Gamboa’s looking to let loose and make up for years of neglect. When months of building sexual tension between her and the young hot boxing stud, Abel Ayala, finally peak, she makes him an offer no man would refuse.

No promises. No demands. Just pure unrestrained passion.

Abel’s training for the biggest fight of his career. He has no time for a social life, much less a relationship. So this arrangement couldn't be more perfect. A beautiful woman asking him to help her alleviate her neglected desires—no strings attached. What more can he ask for?

As the lines between lust and something much deeper, begin to blur, Abel finds himself in an even bigger fight.

My thoughts on all those guys... I'm sorry, but I might not be able to split it all, so I'll just go and write something general for now.

Ms. Elizabeth Reyes, are you seriously okay with breaking a person apart so bad that even after they finish your book, they can never feel whole again? Because that's what you are doing to me. Everytime I finish one of your boys I think THIS one was my favourite, only to start the next one and realize... There never can be a favourite among them because they all are equally amazing!

Book Three:

I loved the whole story around Hector and Charlee, especially because I think she is a kick-ass main character. The whole twist with Charlee more being a 'nerdy' girl was a amazing. Those two together... They had so much chemistry and there's no denying that this whole book was freaking hot, no matter if they were two or if she was just by herself. There is a lot talent needed to make a scene absolutely hot no matter how many participants and Ms. Reyes sure has VERY much of it. Her books are the right amount sexy and sweet, and, let's be honest, we all need a break from assholes and the Ayala-brothers are just ... WOW! Seriously, Hector os devoted, even though his guilt in the beginning keeps him from doing the right thing, but once he realizes he doesn't want to be without his girl ... boy, don't we all wish we'd find a boy like this here?

As always, nothing about this book is boring, or repetitive, and what I love most is that we get to meet all the couples from before. I am so glad that Noah and Gio are always there!! Amazing!

Book Four:

Be warned. I was. I was told that this book would make me want to throw my kindle away and it really was true. I was more mad al Nellie though than I was at Abel... But boy, those two are just perfect. I think Abel is probably even more my favorite than the others... :-D You know he's the onest one amongst the ones. (I know I am not sane, I can't help it.)
I loved, too, that we got to spend even more time with the rest of the group and all the girls among it now, but i am so damn ready for Felix! I wanted to see more of Felix since Bianca's book and... Well... Damn, i am so gonna start on him soon!!

If you need a dose of sighs, heartbreaks, tears and laughter, get on the 5th Street series NOW!! i just bought one and two in paperback because I needed those books. All of them.

Rating:

Five Book-Boyfriends TWICE! (Two stories after all.)

Yours truly

Julie
