Here And Now series by Lexi Ryan

Synopsis of the first book, "Lost In Me":

The last thing I remember is having drinks at Brady’s and trying to avoid eye-contact with my life-long crush—the gorgeous, unattainable Maximilian Hallowell. They tell me that was a year ago, but I have no memories of anything since then. What I do have is this ring on my finger that Max says he gave me, and this much-thinner body I’ve dreamed of most of my life. Aside from a case of retrograde amnesia, everything seems almost...perfect.

But the deeper I immerse myself into this new world of mine—planning a wedding to a man I don't remember dating, attempting to run a business I don't remember starting—the clearer it becomes that nothing is as it seems. Do I have the life I’ve always wanted or is it a facade propped up by secrets I don't even know I have?

I need answers before I marry Max, and the only person who seems to have them is the angry, tatted, sexy-as-sin rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants me for himself.

So......Oh my, this series! I started reading "Lost in Me" cause it came up in my book roulette (a game I'm playing with Julie whenever I can't decide what to read next). And I'm super glad it did!

From the first moment on, I was captivated by the writing and the story. And it didn't let go until I finished all three books. I went and bought book two and three and managed to read all three books in two days  I think. It's THAT good.

So, where to start...the story itself: Hannah wakes up with amnesia after falling down the stairs...or so it seems. Figuring out what happened to her that fateful night is one big issue that this series deals with, but boy let me tell you, it's not the only problem that Hannah has.

So after Hannah wakes up with no memory of the last year, there are two main problems she has to deal with. And they both have names: Max and Nate. And she cannot believe it. Max is the one she always wanted, the one that (as far as she can remember) never so much as looked at her, and now he's by her side, taking care of her the way a fiancé would. Because apparently, that's what he is. Hannah is so spooked and surprised by this, that it takes a while to get over that shock. And then there's Nate....HOLY MOLEY! So I was team Nate from the beginning. There was just something about the way he was introduced in the story that struck a cord with me. And also with Hannah, because while she does not have any idea who Nate is, her body and heart recognise him on some level. And that freaks her out! Cheating on her fiancé?? Is that really who she had become in the last year??

And it's a rollercoaster ride from there on. Once Hannah figures out how Nate fits into the picture, it's up to her to figure out which man will have her heart in the end, and who's heart she's gonna break. And I can tell you, she broke my heart in between as well.

“You're like the sun-completely blind to your own beauty because you are so busy making everyone around you shine. No matter how far we hide in the shadows, you share your light. That's how you stole my heart when no one else could find it.”

This was a story that will leave you breathing heavy with the emotions that are portrayed in the books, the twist and turns, the revelations and everything in between. I still feel my heart melt, break and be put back together, only to break again! Let's just say it was not easy getting through those books...in a VERY good way though.

Hannah herself is so amazing, because she's real. Absolutely real. Everyone of us has dealt with weight issues, and Hannah is a prime example of finding herself, of realizing that weight isn't everything and that personality counts for so much more than the perfect weight. This is a big thing I liked about this book as well.

With all the heartbreak, the definitely swoon-worthy main characters and the amazing story, I can only HIGHLY (and when I say highly I mean HIGHLY) recommend this book to everyone! You won't be able to put it down, because if you think you can stop after reading book one, think again. Ever heard of something called a cliffhanger??

Now go and read it!!!!!

Always,
Yvi
