Don't Close Your Eyes - Hilary Storm

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review

Synopsis: "My life ended the day I answered the door and found out James had died. Writing has become my only release and secluding myself from the people who constantly judge me for my way of grieving has made me famous. I'm not ready to love again, in fact it's not even a thought.

Someone needs to tell that to Liam. He's breaking through all of the walls I've worked so hard to create. How can one man be so intriguing? He just gets me, maybe a little too well."

This was my first Hilary Storm book and I have heard really good things about her before starting this one. And it was true what people said.

I truly liked this story. It was a perfect mixture between mystery, romance and suspense. The story starts out fast paced where Olivia and Liam meet up on an airplane by chance, and their connection is instant. And while sometimes those kinda connections can be hard to achieve, Hilary did a great job with it. Yes, it was fast, yes it was sudden, but I really fell in love with Liam. He's so....protective...amazing...okay, back to story.

The deeper the two of them get, the more mysterious everything gets and I loved that. People that know me know that I love a good mystery, and what a great mystery it was. The whole story slowly unfolded and it was a great thing to watch.

Also, I looked Liam's family. I wish there would've been more scenes with them, cause they seem like such wonderful people. Maybe there'll be more in the future. In the end, it's the first book in the series, so I'm hoping to see more really soon!

Hilary's writing is easy to get into and flows along great, so that she keeps the tension between Olivia and Liam as much as the tension to who the actual villain is alive.

I'm giving this book 4 stars and really am looking forward to the next book in the series <3

Always,
Yvi
