Suspicious Minds (#Fate 3) by Elizabeth Reyes

Synopsis:

Good girls cheat too.

It's a bitter reality Lorenzo Moreno knows all too well.
After his "good girl" fiancée blind sides him by cheating on him with her ex Lorenzo swears off relationships for a while, if not forever.

Until Fate steps in.

Unable to fight the incredible pull he feels to Olivia, a girl who was supposed to be just a meaningless one night stand, Lorenzo gives into his heart. But only after making one thing utterly clear. He will not deal with any exe's or other men in her life. Period.

She's not that person anymore.

For too long Olivia Romero shamefully put up with an manipulative and overly controlling boyfriend. So when fate pairs her up with the gorgeous but intense Air Force pilot she's ready to stand her ground. Cutting all ties with her ex is no sacrifice for Olivia. It's why she willingly complies with Lorenzo's uncompromising stipulation.

As their relationship intensifies so do Lorenzo's suspicions about any man in her life. Determined to not be that weak girl anymore, Olivia demands to be trusted. Despite how vehement her new boyfriend can be, her diligence seems to be working.

But when an unforeseen crisis arises Olivia is forced to make a decision. A decision she knows in Lorenzo's jaded and suspicious mind could be unforgivable.

My review:

I am an absolute fan of Elizabeth Reyes' writing and her as a person, so I was super excited to get my hands on Suspicious Minds for the Blog Tour.

There's no doubt, it was easy to fall in love with the mains, Lorenzo and Olivia. He is a girl's dream (that is, after his wild time is over) and she is strong and independent, yet a family girl. There is nothing better than the way those two treat and respect their families, which I think is something missing in today's society.
The relationship growing between those two is simply amazing. Both have been burned before and boy, it killed me reading about their respective problems, but trust me, Elizabeth Reyes knows how to give you exactly the amount of pain you can survive and recover from - She's amazing like that!

I won't lie though ... while I loved most of this book, there were some parts that I thought were just a little too much. I cannot exactly say which it were because I do not want to spoil anyone, but towards the ending I found it really hard to not roll my eyes a few times because I couldn't understand the reactions of one or more characters. BUT (and that's a HUGE BUT) that is purely a personal thing, nothing else. Elizabeth Reyes definitely made up for it again in the end and - let's face it - I couldn't put the book down because it was damn exciting and very well written.

Elizabeth Reyes is GUARANTEED easy reading, loveable characters and swoon worthy guys. You can always count on Elizabeth Reyes to give you a sweet escape for hours at a time.

Thank you, Elizabeth Reyes, for providing the review-copy!

Four swoon-worthy book-boyfriends for Lorenzo and Olivia,
Julie
