Chasing River by K.A. Tucker - great book by an amazing author

Blurb:

Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.

Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

I've read the first book in this series already and loved it! Gotta get to the second one, but was SUPER excited to get the third one for review.

KA Tucker is an amazing talent when it comes to writing. Her books pull you in and don't let you go. Her realistic way of writing doesn't give you anything you don't want to hear, but pulls the story along perfectly. And this book was no different.

Having gotten to know some of Amber in the first book, I was excited to read this book. PLUS, I am a HUGE Ireland fan, so having this book play in a country I truly love was a plus.

Amber is still a highly likeable person. I mean, the feeling of getting settled before your time, of needing to get out before it gets too late, is something that most of us can relate to. Amber has grown up in a small town and realized that she needed to go and spread her wings before it's too late and the small town would suffocate her. And Ireland is one stop on her trip around the world. And it's where things quickly become complicated. Being saved by an Irish stranger on her first day in a different country throws a kink into those plans though!! But meeting River during more than dangerous circumstances brings on a whole new challenge.

I loved seeing River and Amber together. And I LOVE River, I really do! He's such a great guy, that has made wrong choices, but is trying to do something with his life. And watching him in this book, caring for the people around him and making sure that people are safe and happy is what matters! And Amber...well, I already said I love Amber, simply because I admire her for all her choices that she's doing in that book.

The whole story flows easily and it's easy to get lost in it, which I love about KA Tucker's books. She's definitely always gonna be an author I will read, no matter what!!

Thank you for this chance and if you want an amazing and yet highly exciting romance story, "Chasing River" is just for you!!
