Miss - Harloe Rae

Image
BLURB Delilah Sage was my comfort within all the pain. Offering open arms when I needed an escape. The only one trusted to be there for me. But our dreams were doomed from the start. And I left her clinging to false hope. Regret has plagued me for years. The memories of Delilah refuse to fade. Each second of every day, I want to claim her as mine. But I won’t ruin her life. And she’s better off without me. When a job lands me in town, I plan to keep my distance. My scars are mine alone. Dredging up the past will only cause deeper damage. But Delilah has always been my weakness. And resisting her isn’t an option. After all, there’s far too much for us to miss. KC’s review: Man, I’ve been dying for this book, and Harloe Rae does not disappoint at tall. The ride is emotional, and trust me, this second-chance romance has it all: sweetness, a swoon-worthy hero, chuckles, and hot as f*** scenes. WOW. Delilah is reluctant at first, but I can absolutely und...

Hayden (Four Sons #2) - J.D. Hollyfield

Image
Blurb: Hayden I am a hothead, a wild card, and son to a murdered man.   I crave the things I can’t have and don’t want the things I can.   Now, I’m left to pick up the pieces—stitch our family back together with a damaged thread.   This isn’t the life I envisioned. And to make matters worse, the women in our lives are testing the strength of our brotherhood.   My name is Hayden Pearson. I am the eldest—a protective, but vindictive son.   People may think I’m too young to fill our father’s shoes, but it won’t stop me from proving them all wrong. KC's review: I enjoyed this book a lor mote than I did the first. Hayden is crass and intense, but man, there's just something about him that makes me want to lean into him and kiss him until he realizes he's good enough. For him. For her. I also loved the glimpses we see of the family, and the way he wants to protect them. I cannot wait for the other books because DAMN, what's up with Brock, and what wil...

I was lucky enough to receive review copies of those books by the author! And in the end, I think she gave me book two only because I basically begged her to LOL So thank you lady!!! This is the story of Jesse Martin, who works as a teacher but barely makes ends meet. Out with a voice that is currently healing from surgery, he wants to make his daughter proud and earn his high school diploma. And Jesse is just the one that is supposed to help him with that. While going on this learning journey, the two of them soon realize that there is more to those study sessions than simple learning about math or science. They learn about each other and about themselves, and before they can help it, school is not the only thing...

Sweet On Wilde by Fabiola Francisco

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the wonderful Fabiola in exchange for an honest review! Synopsis:  "Eight months ago, I made a deal with my best friend. This wasn't your typical pact. No, we had to take a different route. The deal was that if we were still single by fall, we would join online dating. Yes…now I am that girl. Just me, though, because she met a guy and saved herself from the awkwardness of dating people you meet via the Internet. Cheesy pick up lines. Inappropriate messages. Disaster dates. I don’t want to be "Savannah, profile 8713," but a pinky promise is a promise you keep. What I wasn’t counting on was meeting a guy at the local bar.  So what happens when you decide to open yourself up to new opportunities? You might just cross paths with someone who makes you believe in love. Parker Wilde brought out the best in me and understood the worst, but when an amazing opportunity presents itself and our lives take diff...
